The XRP is worth $5,800. Bitcoin: Samson Mow

Bitcoiner Samson Mow has published a tweet. It suggests that even if TopAltcoins have a similar total coin supply to Bitcoin, BTC will continue to beat them in terms of price per coin.

Mow said that most Altcoins utilize so-called unit bias. This is a psychological effect that makes the price per coin seem to be cheaper than the price of one BTC, as there is a supply of billions of dollars, and sometimes a trillion coins.

If this bias is removed, mathematically, each of these altcoins should be worth thousands of dollars. However, Mow does not believe in these theoretical figures. Bitcoin still says it has much higher market control.

“The XRP is not worth $5,800.”

Mow proposed that if this bias was removed, XRP would trade for $5,800, Sol for $3,400, and ETH for $9,200. He explained that these numbers can be calculated by “acquiring ALT’s market capitalization, subtracting 21 million and framing the supply from the standpoint of Bitcoin supply.”

For example, he shows ETH: Market Cap of $19.3 billion / 21m = $9,200. Mow said most Altcoins use this unit’s bias “to use a very high supply so that people can’t understand what they’re buying.”

For example, many say buying one XRP for $2 is much cheaper than buying Bitcoin for $85,000, adding that “unit bias is absolutely destroying beginners.”

These numbers are calculated by taking ALT’s market capitalization and subtracting 21 million, and framing the supply with regard to the supply of Bitcoin.

ETH: Market capitalization of $19.3 billion / 21m = $9,200

Instead of buying one in 21 millionth of that atherium, you can buy just 0.11 BTC.

Finally, he said, “There’s actually no way these alts aren’t that worthwhile.”

New names for 1-21 million supply units proposed by Mow

Continuing the topic raised in the tweet above, Mow proposed that perhaps 21 million supply units of coins are required to have names. He emphasized that this is not general knowledge, but now the 10 SATs are called one Finney (after early Bitcoin contributor Hal Finney).

I just think I need a better name of one in 21 million.

That’s why you need to use Finney. Finney is defined as 10 soils, which is rare these days. No one needs 10 SAT units. But we are an easy way to refer to 1/21… https://t.co/ytmgpxvibi

But because it’s rare for everyone to need 10 soil units. Therefore, Mow proposes using this name to define not only Bitcoin, but also 21 million supply units for each large Altcoin and Gold. Therefore, he said, “Bitcoin Finney = $85,000 (for now). Samson asked the community to share what he thought of the idea.
