Crypto Exchange Major Binance has announced support for IOTA network upgrades and hard forks scheduled for May 5, 2025. IOTA deposits and withdrawals for this date will be temporarily suspended in preparation for this network event.

According to an official announcement by Binance, which begins at 6am UTC on May 5th, we will suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the IOTA network to support hard forks and ensure the best user experience. IOTA network upgrades are scheduled to occur at 7am UTC on May 5th.

Binance said that token transactions on the IOTA network will not be affected and deposits and withdrawals will resume once the upgraded network is considered stable. However, no further announcements will be published.

As reported, Binance.us has announced that American Arm of Binance Crypto Exchange supports future IOTA network mainnet upgrades. In preparation for the upgrade, Binance.us said it would remove the existing IOTA deposit address at 11:00 PM EDT on May 2, 2025. IOTA deposits and withdrawals will also be suspended on this day.

Future IOTA Revased Network upgrades demonstrate the historic shift in IOTA networks as they move from the current Stardust architecture to an entirely new IOTA network.

The new network will be born through the Genesis Ceremony of 13 validators led by the IOTA Foundation and an early group of 12 other variators.

Crypto exchanges, including Bitfinex and Bithumb, have announced support for upcoming upgrades. Although trading on the exchange may not be interrupted, users should be aware that IOTA token deposits and withdrawals will be temporarily suspended during the upgrade and will prepare accordingly.
