Metis officially launched Hyperion TestNet and marked a key step in its four-month campaign designed to move from tests to a fully-working mainnet. Unlike a typical testnet, Hyperion focuses on building the true value of developers, AI builders, and the broader ecosystem. The campaign offers a $400,000 incentive to developers and community participants.

Hyperion TestNet: AI and real-time DAPP focus

Hyperion specifically supports AI-Native and high-performance distributed applications. Its design includes parallel execution and distributed sequencer networks. These technical features allow for high-speed transaction processing and reduce latency for real-time apps such as high-frequency trading platforms and AI tools.

Additionally, Hyperion will implement infrastructure tailored to artificial intelligence. This includes optimization of the inference engine and acceleration of the AI ​​coprocessor. These advancements will help AI developers deploy on-chain applications more efficiently. Metis maintains full compatibility with Ethereum and allows for smooth transfer of assets and data between networks.

“Hyper Hack” and Builder Incentives

Hyperion complements Metis’s existing Layer 2 network, Andromeda. While Andromeda supports generic, distributed applications, Hyperion targets AI, gaming, and distributed physical infrastructure networks (Depin). Both networks use Metis tokens to provide a unified economic model across ecosystems.
