Mullen Automotive begins accepting Bitcoin and Trump Meme Coins for sale of electric cars
With this move, the company has become one of the few manufacturers offering the opportunity to purchase commercial electric vehicles from Crypto from both Mullen and its subsidiary Bollinger.
The company announced that it would immediately implement cryptocurrency acceptance and consider other popular memes and stubcoins as future payment methods.
Mullen CEO David Michery issued the following statement:
“By accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method, Mullen is able to make products more widely available to both individual and commercial buyers.”
Vehicles that can be purchased using code
- Mullen One: Class 1 EV cargo van
- Mullen Three: Class 3 EV Cab Chassis Truck
- Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab: Class 4 Electric Commercial Truck Designed from the Zero
All Mullen models are sold in compliance with the US Federal Automobile Safety Standards, EPA and California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification.
The company began production at its Tunica facility in August 2023, and by 2024 it will be selling two models. The company’s commercial dealer network is represented by seven dealers across the United States, including Papé Kenworth, Pritchard EV, National Auto Fleet Group, Ziegler Truck Group, Range Truck Group, and Eco Auto Auto Group.
Mullen acquired a majority stake in Michigan-based Bollinger Motors in September 2022. Bollinger achieved another important milestone by beginning production of the B4 model on September 16, 2024.
This step is considered an important development that could lead to widespread use of vehicle purchases with crypto payments.
