Israel buys 19.15 BTC and 83 ETH, which is worth more than $2.2 million. But if you think this is a step towards adopting crypto, or if you think the country is planning to establish alternative currency reserves, think again.

Shai Shiboni, a popular Israeli footballer, is also a gambling criminal, but “lost” his code wallet while being held in police custody more than two years ago.

It was the police officers who spoke about this issue.

This is serious surveillance and it is still unknown how the wallet disappeared.

So to compensate for “surveillance”, Israel will purchase a brand new digital wallet, funded at 19.15 BTC and 83 ETH, and return it to Shiboni.

Shiboni has been transformed into a “very wealthy man”

Commenting on the issue was also a senior official, saying, “This wallet was worth about a million shekels about seven years ago. Since then, the currency price has risen dramatically, and the state will sincerely pay for the negligence of the elite police force.”

This is one of the most serious mistakes we have had, and the saddest thing. No one is responsible. ”

Officials concluded that Shiboni, a convicted gambling criminal, had been transformed into a “very wealthy man.”

To provide a bit of context to Siboni’s profile, he is considered a major target when it comes to illegal gambling as part of Investiagtions in the Lahav 433 unit.

During the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Siboni operated illegal betting lines for thousands of gamblers.

The doubt leads his profits to more than 100 million shekels. These were used to buy luxury cars, apartments and other assets. However, the difficult truth is that most of his property (including crypto wallets) was returned to him as it was difficult for the state to prove that money came from criminal acts.
