Layer-1 blockchain platform Aptos Labs has partnered with Yellow Card, a licensed Stablecoin infrastructure provider in Africa, to launch instant Stablecoin transfers in 20 African countries. The integration allows users to send USDT and other supported Stablecoins over the APTOS network without paying gasoline fees.
Aptos previously integrated major stub coins, including USDT, USDC and USDE. All transfers in APTOS are resolved instantly and support a variety of payment use cases, including cross-border transfers, business transactions, and everyday purchases. According to the Yellow Card, sub-Saharan Africa is leading the adoption of global stubcoin, with over 54 million users on the continent.
Yellow Card customers can move their funds quickly without any high fees. The system is designed for mobile-first and high-volume use, providing fast payments and low transaction costs. It supports both small businesses and individuals who rely on Stablecoins for their daily financial needs.
This partnership will strengthen the appropriate role in digital payments and expand access to Stablecoin-based services across the African market.
