The distributed data layer in the alanche that was launched was cloud

8 months ago 2 Min Read

Akave, a decentralized storage network, launched Akave Cloud, the first distributed data layer built on a dedicated avalanche layer-1 blockchain. Designed for SaaS applications focused on distributed AI, depin, and compliance, Akave Cloud offers encrypted, programmable, and verifiable storage for modern data infrastructure.

The platform uses smart contracts to manage all storage operations, including uploads, reads, and permissions. Each interaction is recorded on the chain, creating a tamper-proof audit trajectory, ensuring data sovereignty without sacrificing performance.

Akave Cloud is already used by organizations such as Intuizi, Defiant, and Heurist.ai. It is also the first distributed storage system to integrate with Snowflake, allowing analytics teams to use existing tools while migrating to distributed infrastructure.

Akave Cloud runs on its own Avalanche L1 and leverages EVM compatibility, sub-second transaction finality, and customizable chain logic to support real-time, data-heavy applications. Features include a multi-tier architecture that combines S3 compatible APIs, client-side encryption for end-to-end control, smart contract-based access management, and a high-speed avalanche network with FileCoinbase cold storage.

As part of the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DEPIN) model, AKAVE allows participants to provide bandwidth, computed power, or storage in exchange for rewards. The platform also supports local avalanche L1 deployments to meet local governance and compliance requirements.

Future plans include launching a community-run L1 network sovereign data zone for region-specific regulatory and infrastructure needs, while maintaining interoperability across the broader Akave ecosystem.
