Virtuals Protocol is rolling out changes to the Genesis Point Emissions system, shifting rewards to better reflect the quality of agents’ utilities and participation. The update is set to be live by the weekend and introduces two important improvements focused on adjusting emissions to actual on-chain activity.

First, agents integrated with the Agent Coordination Protocol (ACP) receive increased weights across staking and trading categories. The purpose of this coordination is to reward agents who are actively deployed and contribute to true economic coordination across the growing ecosystem of the protocol.

Second, trading activities have come to bring about higher weight in Genesis’ scoring system. The team noted that trading plays a key role in helping new agents establish and maintain a functioning market, and this update is more directly aware of its contributions.

This shift shows a broader effort to link point emissions to meaningful network values rather than passive behavior. “These changes reflect our continued commitment to align Genesis with meaningful on-chain adjustments.” The team said, acknowledging the community’s role in supporting surface feedback that guided updates.
