CMB announces a new cryptocurrency list! “Limitations imposed on 10 cryptocurrency exchanges!”

5 months ago 2 Min Read

The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has published a new listing, revealing which cryptocurrency platforms are operating in the Turkish market and are withdrawing.

At this point, the CMB deadline for license applications for cryptocurrency service providers passed on June 30th has been added to the liquidation list.

After the June 30th deadline has passed, the total number of companies applying for liquidation has increased to 45.

Among the companies that decided to stop working in the cryptocurrency sector were Bitfinex, Coinbase Turkey, Qnb, and Bitget Türkiye.

The latest update has reduced the number of companies on the list of active companies to 60.

In the latest public list, Türkiye’s leading banking institutions Akbank, Garanti Bank, IşBank and YapıKredi were among the institutions that applied for cryptocurrency custody licenses.

Additionally, CMB announced that it had made significant restrictions decisions for 10 cryptocurrency service providers who are in the process of applying for licenses at a meeting held on July 17, 2025.

These companies included Arbitex, GMS Global, Gümüş Global, Kriptrade, MEXC, Necen, Ovro, Rootech, Web3, and Yuex. The Capital Markets Board (SPK) said these companies will not accept new clients until further notice and will be allowed to process transactions of existing clients only.

“About Arbitex, GMS Global, Gümüş Global, Kriptrade, MEXC, Necen, Ovro, Rootech, Web3, Yuex. On 17.07.2025 and the 40-year-old board of directors, it was determined that the relevant platforms will only accept existing customers as existing customers and that existing customers will be able to reach existing customers.”
