A total of 37 companies worldwide have accumulated at least 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC) in the Ministry of Finance, consolidating the recruitment trends of growing companies. Once they reach such BTC numbers, they can be considered “whales,” or great investors in this digital currency.
Together, over 100 public contribution companies have 921,388 BTC. This reflects a significant increase in the exposure to digital assets of these organizations.
In this context, the strategy led by Michael Saylor strengthened its position on July 21 with the acquisition of 6,220 BTC. This is an operation that implies an investment of an average price of $118,940 per unit, as reported by Cryptoics.

To fund these acquisitions, the strategy relied on issuing debt obligations with 0% interest and an extended expiration date. This is a strategy that encouraged other companies to follow a similar path as bonds can be converted into actions at a higher price.
Chris Cuyper, Vice President of Research at Fidelity, highlighted the diversification of Bitcoin purchases. “What seems more interesting to me is that from the first quarter to the second quarter, Bitcoin purchases were more widely distributed among public companies, rather than focusing on a small number of large buyers,” he said.
The growing commitment to Bitcoin will address a challenging economic environment characterized by inflation, devaluation of the Fear currency and global uncertainty.
