Solo miner with tiny 48 Terrahash Strike Bitcoin blocks defeats mining pool Titan

6 months ago 2 Min Read

The solo miners slammed the jackpot by unlocking block 907283 on Saturday morning, and data shows they did it with a modest hashrate of around 48.3 terrahash (TH/s) per second. Essentially, it’s not bad for one person’s operation to punch more than its weight.

CK pool soloist hits block after the last 2,294 misses

On Saturday, a solo miner discovered block height of 907,283, and according to the mining buff, individuals did it using moderate slices of hash power. “Another solominer just found a block,” X account Solomining wrote. “The lucky guy had a total hashrate from one worker of 48.3 Th/s. So it wasn’t Bitaxe, but it was still undoubtedly a very small solo minor with only 1/4 of the hashrate of the latest S21+.”

Rather than splitting the rewards like traditional pools, miners were operating through mining pools that offered a unique twist, namely CK pools, mining pools that offered a unique twist. CK pools provide users with a solo mining experience within the pool framework. This means that the miners maintain the entire block reward and have full control over Coinbase transactions (the payment itself) while benefiting from the entire pool infrastructure.

The last block mined by CK pool prior to today’s discovery was 2,294 blocks before block 907,283. So far, CK Pool has discovered a total of 8 blocks in 2025. In 2024, CK Pool only discovered 16 blocks in total. Solo Miners are extremely lucky to hit the block as they compete with industrial giants such as Foundry, Antpool, VIABTC, and F2pool.

Such a share of network hashrate is statistically unlikely, such as winning a lottery. Unlike the major Bitcoin mining pools dominated by large hardware fleets, solo miners often rely on a single machine or small setup. Since rewards are not shared in the solo setup, finding blocks means maintaining the entire payment. But odds? They are astronomically low, making each victory event.
