The Ethereum Foundation (EF) recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Ethereum blockchain and has set up an ambitious new roadmap aimed at strengthening and expanding ecosystems over the next decade.

Ethereum Foundation’s new roadmap

On the blog post Released Thursday, EF highlighted Ethereum’s unique position in the blockchain landscape, boasting 100% uptime since its inception, a huge diversity client, and a $1300 billion economic security figure, with 35.7 million ETHs each betting at around $3,700 each.

The foundation claimed that this figure could reach $1 trillion, or nearly 30% in the future. Total capitalization of the crypto market.

The Foundation assumes it as the basis for what Ethereum describes as the “internet of values” and can secure enormous amounts of wealth over decades and even centuries.

The roadmap highlights Ethereum’s resilience to a variety of challenges, including threats and progress from nation-states. Quantum Computing.

Organizations claim this resilience is encapsulated in the concept of “Fort Mode,” meaning that as long as the internet is running, Ethereum is online and effectively integrates the digital world with on-chain capabilities.

ETH philosophy without leanness

On the offensive side, EF employs a “beast mode” mentality, with a strategic focus on scaling both Layer 1 (L1) and Layer 2 (L2) protocols.

The foundation aims to significantly improve performance within the next six to 12 months, targeting ambitious metrics such as 10,000. Transactions per second (TPS) We want to balance performance and decentralization with 1 million TPS for Layer 1 and Layer 2.

The Roadmap outlines the three basic layers of Ethereum: consensus, data, and execution series of upgrades. The “Lean Ethereum” initiative calls for enhancements that include an improved beacon chain known as Beacon Chain 2.0, which promises security and faster finality. An evolved data layer called Blobs 2.0, designed for post-Quantum resilience. EVM 2.0 for a more efficient execution layer that maintains compatibility with existing protocols.

At the heart of these advancements is the incorporation of hash-based encryption. This identifies EF as a key factor in addressing two major trends. Blockchain ecosystem: The rise in the pressing risks posed by concise, non-interactive knowledge discussion (sense) and quantum computing.

This encryption model is intended to enhance performance of the Ethereum consensus, data, and execution layers, creating cohesive and efficient architectures.

Beyond technical upgrades, EF describes “Lean Ethereum” as a philosophy that embodies minimalism, modularity, and encapsulated complexity.

Organizations are hoping to talk about the importance of formal verification and proven security, allowing ETH to scale responsibly while maintaining the basic principles.
