BMW handed over a one-off “Apecar 1/1” to collector Dennis Widener during IAA mobility at BMW Welt in Munich on September 12, 2025, converting the boring APE Yacht Club (BAYC) non-huge tokens (NFTs) from other metaverses to physical best lake vehicles.

Originally created as digital artwork by Yuga Labs, Apecar was realized by BMW as a unique collector’s work assembled by the company and attendance community as a milestone as a bridge between Web3 culture and traditional automotive craftsmanship. Weidner, CEO of Cryptoticker GmbH and one of 10,000 Bayc owners, described the car as a symbol of entrepreneurial journeys and maturation into tangible assets in digital collectibles. BMW and supporters said handovers highlight the evolving role of NFTS in the luxury, design and collector markets.
