Ethereum developers promise new dates for Fusaka updates

5 months ago 3 Min Read

Ethereum developers have announced a new date for the expected network update called angercurrently scheduled to be activated on December 3, 2025 (tentatively).

Initially, it was estimated that Fusaka would be ready to arrive between November 5th and 12th of this year. The developer has decided to delay this event for another month. The changes brought by this hard fork are aimed at improving the scalability, efficiency and general experience of Ethereum users, one of the most relevant cryptocurrency networks in the world.

The process begins on September 22nd with a “freeze of code” or “code freeze.” This means from that point on, developers will stop introducing new features or significant changes to their update code. The rest of the interim roadmap is as follows:

•September 25th – Testnet client release.

•October 1st – Holesky Fork.

•October 14th – Sepoli Afolk.

•October 28th – Hoodie Folk.

• November Principles – Mainnet Client.

•December 3 – Mainnet’s Fusaka activation.

Updates combined with improved consensus layer fur and the execution layer Osakapresents 13 suggestions for improving Ethereum (EIPS). Most notably, EIP-7594 implements the data availability sampling system (Peerdas). This technology allows nodes to specialize in storing various types of data, Greatly reduce transaction costs in layer networks2as arbitrum and base.

Furthermore, Fusaka brings other important optimizations. EIP-7642 eliminates the obligation for nodes to store deprecated data and speed up synchronization. Meanwhile, EIP-7823 and EIP-7883 are designed to restrict data entry and protect the network in denial of service (2) attacks. Gas limits are adjusted with EIP-7825 and EIP-7935 to reduce individual transaction limits, but increase block limits to increase network capacity without compromising safety.

The developer is also working on EIP-7951. It promises to improve the user experience with hardware wallets Mobile devices with operating systems such as iOS and Androidmaking the network more accessible to more viewers. Generally, an update is expected anger It will lay the foundation for future updates such as Gram Stardom in 2026, transforming Ethereum into a lighter, faster and more distributed network.
