The new partnership, inked by the SBI Group, utilizes XRP ledgers to create a payment platform that links unique payment tokens with NFTs.
The new development was highlighted in a tweet from XRP enthusiast Crypto Eri, @Sentosumosaba. He revealed that Japanese travel agency Tobu Top Tours could issue NFTs that could be distributed using XRP ledgers as “digital memorabilia” or “future accommodation discount vouchers.”
Japan’s Tobu Tour may issue NFTs with some digital souvenir power sources using the $XRP ledger. The MOU of the business unit SBI Ripple Asia has been signed to pursue the “Fan Economy” BIZ model and develop marketing initiatives such as local regional discount vouchers.

According to a release dated September 30th, SBI Ripple Asia, a business unit of SBI Group, has signed a memorandum on Tobu Top Tour to realize a new payment platform centered around unique tokens issued by each partner company and organization SBI Ripple.
This partnership will be seen in the launch of a new payment platform that links a variety of features with NFTs and unique payment tokens to help partner companies and organizations expand their fan economy. The two companies will continue discussion with the aim of launching services in the first half of 2026.
SBI Ripple Asia is a joint venture established by Ripple Holdings and SBI Holdings.
XRP ledger generates several use cases
The partnership uses XRP ledgers to issue their own tokens and create a system that allows customers of SBI Ripple Asia and Tobu’s top tours to pay for accommodation, meals, shopping, services and more.
Building payment platforms using XRP ledgers is expected to generate a wide range of use cases, including tourism, commercial and regional development, among others. It is also expected to be a new growth model that can provide users with a new payment experience and create and expand a unique and enjoyable economy for businesses and communities.
NFT was standardized in the XRP ledger by the XLS-20 in October 2022, offering perks such as loyalty and spam anti-spam features.
In June, the Dynamic NFT fix (XLS-46) was enabled and the variable NFT feature was added. This expands XRPL’s NFT use cases beyond unchanging art and collectibles, such as games, identity, and smart tickets.
