The Ethereum ecosystem recorded its highest monthly trading volume in history in October.
According to the data, between the base layer and the second layer (L2) Processed over 817 million operationssurpassing the previous mark and marking the sixth consecutive month of this trend.
This evolution can be seen in the following image (graph on the right).
In the past 30 days, there have been three major networks. As a general rule, Base, the most operated L2 in the entire ecosystem, is the most active chain; 323 million transactionsthe amount decreased by 7.4% compared to the previous month.
Despite this slight decline, it has amassed 57% growth over the past six months. This reflects its integration as one of the most used chains within the Ethereum ecosystem.
Next up was Arbitrum One, another well-known L2 with 93.1 million operations. Its activity has increased 24% per month and 80% per semester.
In third place, Soneium, the network created by Sony, reached 66.3 million transactions, with a monthly increase and growth of 38%. Accumulated 110% in the last 6 months.
In the end, Ethereum’s main layer handled 44.2 million operations. Sales volume for the month decreased by 6.4%, but Maintaining positive trend of 23% this semesterwhich integrates the general activities of the ecosystem.
