The cryptocurrency market continues to receive news of partnerships, and the latest news comes from the state of Georgia.
In response, Georgia’s Ministry of Justice announced that it had signed an agreement with Hedera (HBAR).
In an official statement, it was stated that the Georgian Ministry of Justice has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hedera, one of the leading platforms in the blockchain ecosystem, to introduce the latest digital technologies to the public sector.
Under the agreement, Hedera’s network technology will be used to improve the efficiency, transparency and security of various public services in Georgia. This cooperation aims to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and redefine citizen-government interaction.
As part of the agreement, Georgia also aims to move the country’s land registry on-chain and tokenize real estate.
The statement said that the Hedera network stands out for features such as high transaction speeds, low costs and energy efficiency.
The Georgian government has long supported blockchain technology, and in February 2017 it moved to use the Bitcoin blockchain to verify real estate transactions.
