NuNet launches Cardano payments and brings ADA to decentralized computing

2 months ago 3 Min Read

NuNet, a decentralized peer-to-peer network for sharing computing power, has announced the launch of Cardano-based payments.

NuNet made this announcement following a successful demonstration of decentralized computing payments on the Cardano blockchain. This event confirms real-world capabilities rather than a conceptual roadmap, indicating readiness for broader adoption.

Important points

  • NuNet has launched Cardano-based payments for its decentralized peer-to-peer computing network.
  • This support follows the release of Device Management Service (DMS) v0.9.0, which extends contract payments beyond Ethereum.
  • This system allows you to seamlessly switch between Ethereum and Cardano within a single payment flow.
  • Cardano payments are still live, but the network’s native NTX token continues to drive coordination and orchestration.
  • The addition of Cardano support represents an important milestone ahead of NuNet’s mainnet launch, scheduled for early March.

NuNet expands contract payments beyond Ethereum

Although NuNet positions itself as a multi-blockchain decentralized computing marketplace, it adheres to the broader Web3 standard and relied primarily on Ethereum for payments. However, earlier this month, the project reached an important milestone with the release of Device Management Services (DMS) v0.9.0.

With this update, NuNet has added Cardano support to its payment system, expanded payments beyond Ethereum, and enhanced its multi-chain architecture. As a result, users will be able to deploy compute jobs and pay directly with ADA, while NTX tokens continue to power the coordination and orchestration of the network.

Additionally, the system enables seamless switching between Ethereum and Cardano, providing a production-ready payment flow from deployment to settlement. Overall, this upgrade builds on previous infrastructure improvements and positions NuNet towards the live phase with full multi-blockchain support.

NuNet prepares for mainnet launch

According to NuNet, enabling Cardano payments is a crucial step towards mainnet launch. Mainnet infrastructure is scheduled to go live on March 2, 2026, beginning the transition from testing to a fully operational distributed computing economy.

In a statement, the NuNet team emphasized that the infrastructure is ready for global deployment. After rolling out Cardano-based payments, the project says it has demonstrated its ability to provide seamless payments, multi-blockchain support, and real-world utility.
