According to whale alerts dataan XRP token worth $58 million has recently been transferred from an unknown wallet to Coinbase.
This is the first major transfer recorded by the popular wallet tracking service since June 12th. On that day, $60 million worth of Ripple-related tokens were sent to the largest US exchange.
As Reported by U.TodayRipple also made a $498 million XRP transfer on June 6th. The timing of the transaction was already too slow for the company’s normal escrow movement, causing some doubts.
XRP, one of the leading Altcoins, is currently changing hands at $2.16, with a market capitalization of $127 billion. It has decreased by 0.3% over the past 24 hours.
Cryptocurrency has recently reappeared in the spotlight after multiple microcap companies moved to set up XRP-based financial plans. It remains to be seen whether companies’ adopting XRP will provide sufficient traction.
Additionally, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse recently made a headline after stating that XRP tokens could potentially secure 14% of cross-border payments for Swift, a widely used interbank messaging platform.
