Teaser for the third and final season of Netflix’s global hit Squid Game It triggered a short-term meeting of memokines related to the series. One squid game brand token (Squid) has skyrocketed over 5% since the trailer was featured on YouTube late Monday.
Netflix confirmed that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere globally on June 27th, 2025. Within 24 hours of the release of the teaser, the Squid token increased by 6%, reaching the trading price of $0.006102.
Plot teaser rekinds interest in cryptography
The new season continues with a twisted survival competition story that has made the series a global phenomenon. According to the official summary, the story resumes with the protagonist Gi-Hun, also known as Player 456, and is about to dismantle the deadly game from within.
Suffering from the loss of his closest ally, Jeongbe (Player 390), Gi-Hun could face off against the frontman who reportedly permeated their resistance under the disguise of player 001.
According to TradingView, Squid Token Price witnessed a 4.77% increase in the week leading up to the teaser, but has dumped more than 64% of its value since the show’s second season was released.
Squid Token is not officially affiliated with streaming giants or production teams, but in the eyes of traders it is closely tied to the show’s branding.

Regulators and experienced analysts warn investors against such memokine, especially when driving at media events, as they are susceptible to pump and dump cycles.
Since 2021, several squid game-related tokens have been released, but these have almost soared in a few days and noseed in minutes.
On December 27, the day after Squid Game Season 2 was released, blockchain security company Peckshield told Crypto investors about some scam tokens that they accidentally linked to the show. The company said the unrelated squid game-themed tokens are “circulated in the wild.”
Peckshield identified at least one suspicious token in the base network, and noted that the wallet address responsible for the deployment of the token also holds the largest supply. Since its release, tokens have plummeted 99%. This is the price pattern you see in the pump and dump scheme.

X users explain that the largest wallets holding tokens are roughly the same, and the developers claim that they use this strategy to concentrate supply on small groups of insiders.
“Yes, these are top holders. Yes, they all look the same. No, that’s not a coincidence. Don’t be sturdy,” he said.
