Blockchain development platform Alchemy said it has acquired Solana developer Dexterlab for a private fee.

The acquisition will accelerate the development of Solana-based Web3 applications to meet growing demand for companies, Alchemy said in an email on Friday.

According to an announcement by Alchemy, Dexterlab’s technology previously established Google and Solana Development as its “good infrastructure provider.”

One of the alchemy objectives in obtaining Dexterlab is to integrate Solana development along with Ethereum development to reduce the complexity of projects that build multiple networks.

Alchemy may be trying to acquire Solana’s excellence as a preferred place for blockchain applications.

Ethereum keeps the larger blockchain comfortable in its locked point of full value, but there are some metrics that Solana can claim to have an advantage. For example, Solana’s active addresses have exceeded 210 million in the last three months, while Ethereum and Ethereum Layer 2 addresses are just under 80 million. Solana’s deals also outperform Ethereum: 4.75 billion to 1 billion.
