70 Chains and Counts: Mainnet launch and new integration will expand Bitcoin staking
The $4 billion Bitcoin Staking Protocol Babylon and blockchain interoperability platform Axelar announced Thursday.
Babylon was announced on the same day. The Babylon Genesis Blockchain is built using Cosmos’ cometbtf interchain stack and features native token “Baby”. What makes the Babylonian Protocol unique is the ability of BTC owners to provide encryption security to their Proof Security (POS) networks in a self-compromising way without the need for intermediaries or bridges.
And now, with Axelar integration in place, Baby Token, which can be wagered to secure a Genesis chain, will be available on Axelar’s networks, with over 70 blockchain platforms.
“The integration of Axelar makes Babylon Genesis Ecosystem accessible across more than 70 blockchain ecosystems,” said Clayton Menzel, Head of Business Development for Babylon Labs, behind Babylon Protocol.
According to Babylon Labs, the introduction of Genesis adds a layered platform through the Bitcoin blockchain, security, security, security, security. Genesis also serves as a fluidity hub and so-called “control plane” that helps to establish other projects that you want to become a BSN.
