With continued regulations on cryptocurrency trading in Türkiye, the exchange is launching new standards investors must follow to comply with these regulations.
At this point, the final statement came from Binance TR, the Turkish Binance arm.
According to an official statement from Binance TR, Binance TR has announced new regulations that arose as part of the new obligations introduced by the Financial Crime Investigation Committee General Communique (Sequence No. 29) and MaSak, published in the official official gazette on June 28, 2025.
Therefore, as of 15:00 on July 4, 2025, Binance TR announced that a waiting period will be introduced for all new crypto assets investments or purchase/sell transactions, increasing the security of users and ensuring full compliance with legal obligations.
Balances caused by cryptocurrency transactions made after the specified date are subject to a 72-hour waiting period.
After the first cryptocurrency withdrawal transaction made by a user who has completed the 72-hour wait period, the waiting period for other assets in your account and subsequent crypto investments is 48 hours.
“As of 15:00 on July 4th, 2025, a 72-hour waiting period will apply to withdrawal of cryptocurrency balances currently in your account.
All new crypto assets investments made on your user account or cryptocurrency balances arising from this date and time will also be subject to a 72-hour waiting period.
After the initial cryptocurrency withdrawal or transfer transaction made by the user after a 72 hour wait period, the wait period will be updated to 48 hours due to withdrawals made for other cryptocurrencies in the user’s account or for each cryptocurrency added to the user’s account.
Binance Tr said that Lira (Try) deposits and withdrawals in Türkiye will not be affected by the waiting period and will continue at current speeds.
Binance TR recently added that crypto asset withdrawal transactions made through this channel are exempt from the wait period as they are already compliant with travel rules as Binance TR is done to match the user’s Turkish ID number via Crypto Asset Wallet.
As of July 4, 2025, applications for waiting times will begin at the withdrawal procedure of Crypto Assets at 15.00 as of July 4, 2025, in accordance with the general communique published in the official official gazette dated June 28, 2025.
