Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange platform by manipulation, has announced the launch of Wallet Binan’s beta-phase chrome extension, designed to optimize interactions with decentralized applications (DAPPS) on Web3 from desktop browsers.
According to the exchange of statements, the BETA version of Chrome extension allows users to connect wallet Binance to DAPP, manage cryptographic activity, and perform operations from their browser environment on compatible networks such as Ethereum and Binance Smart Chains.
With this launch, Binance Wallet comes in a version similar to the traditional Metamask web wallet.
As reported by Cryptonotics, Binance Wallet uses a multipartite computing model (MPC), with fragmented private keys. One of these fragments is protected by Binance. They have no complete control over their keys and are limiting their self-occustody.
This approach is certainly and efficient in certain use cases, but is different from traditional Bitcoin wallets. The user is the only custodian of his assets.
Cryptonotics reported at the end of July that Binance Wallet premiered a replacement web version, allowing it to operate from a traditional interface without relying on mobile applications.
