Binance has issued a statement acknowledging recent price volatility over OM, the Mantra Project’s native token.
Binance announces OM tokens in the shift in cross-crossing liquidation and toconomy
The exchange stated risk management measures and continuous monitoring following a sudden price fluctuation of mantra native tokens.
According to the exchange, its internal analysis shows that the price fluctuations observed over the last 24 hours were primarily the result of progressive liquidation across multiple trading platforms. OM has experienced a sharp price movement that attracted investors’ attention, leading to a platform that reaffirms risk management practices.
“Since last October, Binance has actively implemented a variety of risk management measures, including reducing the available leverage of OM. These actions are part of our ongoing efforts to adjust risk exposures as they relate to evolving market conditions,” the company said in a statement.
The exchange also noted that in January OM published an alert message on its spot trading page, informing users about significant changes in token supply dynamics.
This message refers to changes in OM’s talknomics that increased circulation supply. In light of recent price action, Binance has updated this alert to highlight the high volatility of the token.
Despite the turbulence, Binance has reiterated its commitment to protecting users through continuous monitoring and responsive platform management.
“We are committed to closely monitoring the situation and will continue to take appropriate measures to protect users and maintain the integrity of our platform,” the exchange said.
OM’s recent volatility highlights the broader risks associated with talk names changes and exploited transactions, particularly when amplified by fragmented liquidity across the exchange.
Binance’s official statement and additional measures reflect an increased pressure on key trading platforms to improve transparency and risk mitigation in the face of increased market scrutiny.
