Cryptocurrency Exchange OKX announced on June 27, 2025 that it will remove three different permanent futures contracts from its platform.

Permanent futures contracts will be suspended on June 27th with three crypto assets OKX

This decision is based on reasons such as low liquidity and increased market risk.

Futures contracts to be deleted

The deletion will take place at 16:00 on June 27, 2025 and cover the following contracts:

  • SANDUSD Permanent Futures Contract
  • Algousd Perpetual Futures contract
  • Tonusd Perpetual Futures contract

During the removal process:

  • All open transactions are automatically closed by the system.
  • All open orders from the Order Committee will be cancelled.
  • The contract is delivered using the arithmetic average of OKX index prices in the last hour before ending.
  • If price manipulation is detected during this one hour period, OKX said it could readjust the shipping price to a reasonable level.
  • No additional or funding fees will be charged upon delivery.

Additionally, users with open positions greater than 10,000 USDT upon delivery cannot transfer assets between accounts for 30 minutes. This limit was introduced to ensure that transactions are completed safely.

User Recommendations and Additional Information

  • OKX warned users in leveraged positions to close positions or reduce leverage in advance.
  • It was stated that risk control should be implemented for such sudden price movements.
  • All historic orders and transaction records for deleted contracts can be downloaded later from the desktop version of the Order Center.

OKX said the limit price rules may also change depending on the market situation. The company emphasized it will continue to make continuous improvements to provide better service to its users.
