Bitcoin Miner does sextilion hash per second new standard

4 months ago 3 Min Read

Yesterday, the total Bitcoin hashrate ran hot, topped with 986 exhaush per second (EH/S). Since then, I have jumped into one Zetahash range (Zh/s). If that calculation could be true, then the Zettahas era could become a normal fixture for the future.

Zettahash atmosphere: Bitcoin hashrate roars to a hash pace of 1 second

Bitcoin hashrate hums at its peak weekend. Currently, it is approximately a single Zettahash, approximately 998-1,000 exahashes per 1,000 seconds (EH/s), according to a simple 7-day moving average (SMA). One Zh/s equals one sextrion (number of 1,000,000,000,000,000, or one card followed by 21 zeros.

Source: Mempool.space Saturday, August 30th, 2025. A single Zettahash equals 1,000 EH/s.

The numbers are immeasurable and resemble Zettabytes. This is data for one sextress amount. Another perspective: It rivals all the waters that cross the oceans of Earth. On scale, the total volume of the Earth is about 1.085 Sexterion 1 cubic meter, with its mass of about 5.98 Sexterion metric tons. In short, miners are stirring up every second with an astonishing number of hashes.

The hashrate of networks could be relaxed, but the Zettahas era could soon become the norm, especially if difficulties are scheduled for September 4th, 2025. It’s getting closer each week, and the current pace is blocking intervals at 9 minutes and 23 seconds, increasing the expected difficulty by 6.43%.

Of the 1 Zeta Hash in play, Foundry Controls 272 EH/s, about 27% of the network calculation. Antpool holds 192 EH/s, or 19.19% of the total. VIABTC contributes to 110 EH/s, approximately 11% of total power. Together, these three pools account for 574 EH/s of 1 Zh/s—57.4%.

At this scale, mining is similar to supercomputers, enhanced efficiency races, integration of benefits of capitalized pools, and pressures of marginal operators. Shape the breeding person as the difficulty is adjusted and Zettahash level performance is enhanced to baseline in anticipation of hardware upgrades, energy trading and scrutiny.
