btcc records $29 billion in tokenized Ruwa Futeres trading volume in Q2 and Q3

2 months ago 2 Min Read

BTCC, one of the world’s longest-running crypto exchanges, reported total trading volume of tokenized real world asset (RWA) futures for the second and third quarters of 2025 at $29.2 billion USDT.

The numbers highlight the growing interest in on-chain versions of traditional financial products, with the overall RWA market totaling more than $30 billion.

According to BTCC’s internal data, tokenized futures related to gold, major US stock indexes, and large-cap stocks were among the most actively traded contracts during this period.

The exchange’s RWA futures trading volume was $16.4 billion in the second quarter and $12.8 billion in the third quarter.

The most traded contracts included gold, S&P 500, Dow Jones, NASDAQ-100, Tesla, NVIDIA, Apple, Coinbase, and Circle Internet Group.

BTCC currently offers over 50 tokenized futures products, allowing users to trade stocks, commodities, indices, and forex pairs with USDT as collateral.

The platform offers up to 150x leverage on precious metals and up to 20x leverage on equity-based futures.

“Cross-market participation in RWA products is growing faster than anyone expected,” said Peter Lee, chief marketing officer at BTCC.

“As more institutions seek tokenized exposure to stocks, commodities, and indices, BTCC’s RWA futures platform bridges the gap between familiar assets and crypto-native payments, bringing institutional-grade efficiencies to both sides of the market.”

Tokenized RWA is a blockchain-based representation of traditional assets such as stocks, commodities, and government bonds that allows traders to gain exposure to off-chain markets through on-chain payment and collateral mechanisms.

This sector has become one of the fastest growing segments in the digital asset space, with exchanges and financial institutions building tokenization infrastructure for both institutional investors and individual participants.

While most tokenization efforts have focused on fixed income and fund products, BTCC’s entry into futures-based RWA highlights the growing interest of derivatives traders in this developing market.
