Plutus v3 smart contracts are rising by over 500%, leading the growth of blockchain development

Cardano (ADA) price action rarely suggests that, but Cardano’s blockchain has grown significantly since its launch in 2025.
To begin with, the total number of wallets and delegators has increased dramatically. On January 1, 2025, the former had roughly 5.1 million people, and the latter had just surpassed 1.31 million. Looker Studio May 6th.
By press time on May 6th, the number of wallets had exceeded 5.3 million from 4.28%. That is, 2,275 new wallets appeared daily with an increase of 218,420. The number of delegators rose by 1.43% to 1.33 million, indicating a significant influx of addresses.
Plutus V3 leads the profits of Cardano Smart Contracts in 2025
At the same time, in 2025, nearly 20,000 Cardano Smart contracts were added, with the majority of the new ones belonging to the most numerous groups: Plutus V2.
Between January 1 and May 5, Plutus V2 contracts rose 15.18% from 106,465 to 122,630. Within the same period, the number of V1 smart contracts increased by 1.27% from 6,877 to 6,964, while the number of Plutus V3s increased by an impressive total of 548.65% from 444 to 2,880.
The total number of Cardano Plutus scripts rose sharply from 113,786 to 132,474, up 16.42%.
However, network growth does not involve strong ADA performance. During press hours from January 1st to May 6th, Cardano prices fell 22.46% to $0.654.
Also, volatility was slightly reduced due to wild swing trends in the first quarter. This threatens an even bigger plunge as the ADA increased by $1.14 in 2025 – cryptocurrency is dangerously close to even greater support levels.
