The popular animated NFT brand for its dinosaur-themed collection is seeing Claynosaurz expand its reach beyond the Solana blockchain and expand its expansion to SUI.

Rather than replacing existing infrastructure, Claynosaurz continues to support Solana-based NFTs while launching new features and collections on the SUI blockchain.

These additions include the Achievement System, a new NFT collection named Popkins, and a mobile game scheduled to be released in 2025.

What is Claynosaurus?

Claynosaurz is a digital collectible project launched on the Solana blockchain in November 2022 and features 10,222 animated 3D dinosaurs, each part of one of seven fictional species.

The visual identity of the collection is influenced by stop motion and clay animations, and each dinosaur is designed to have a unique personality. Its backstory is built around the fictional concept of a child who brings toy dinosaurs back to life through imagination.

Claynosaurz attracted early attention for Solana, generating more than $600,000 in trading volume within two weeks of the launch. The creator continues to develop new features, focusing on storytelling and animated content.

What can we expect from the expansion?

The expansion to SUI introduces several new components, such as the achievement system that tracks activity and engagement across the Claynosaurz ecosystem. Solana-based NFTs are still supported, but achievement tokens are minted only in SUI.

Following this, the project will release a new collection called Popkins. The collection introduces 25,000 new digital characters, but instead of using the traditional NFT mint process, the team issues a digital booster pack. Each pack includes an opportunity to receive a Popkin Card or a species card. Some packs may also include cosmetics and other digital content, but pricing and distribution details have not been made public yet.

The final item on the short-term roadmap is a mobile game scheduled to be released in 2025. The game features real-time dinosaur battles, and is expected to be available first on IOS and Android, followed by the Suiplay0X1 handheld console.

The developers say that blockchain elements will be processed in the background, allowing players to access the game without the need for prior knowledge of Web3 technology.
