Ears from drinks? New Sparkling Water comes with NFTs and Points

Currently there is sparkling water with abstract NFTs and points.

Rekt Brands is a crypto startup from traders known in X as OSF (Ovie Faruq) and social media Rektmando has launched a new drink. It is a sparkling water called an abstract apple.

As the name suggests, Abstract Apple offers rewards for Ethereum L2 Chain Abstract. Each case of 24 cans grants an abstract NFT in addition to the buyer’s abstract XP and 25,000 drinking points (rekt reward points). Next week, case buyers can collect abstract NFTs.

Each case costs $69.69 (delivery and applicable tax of course) and can be purchased using crypto or Fiat currency.

Buyers can purchase up to 250 cases per order, but multiple orders can be placed.

It’s a lot of cans.

The launch sold out Wednesday, with over 220,000 cans of sparkling water being purchased, but the Rekt team said extra drinking points were being handed out by mistake.

“The developers are on top of it and they’ll be fixed,” the brand said in the post.

Members of the abstract team confirmed to me that they were not involved in this project, but they said future collaborations between Rekt and Abstract are being investigated.

First Drink from Rekt Brands, a lime-flavored sparkling water, was announced in November and sold more than 220,000 cans in a similar fashion within 48 hours.

Rekt Brands raised $1.5 million in seed funding late last year. Their brand was created following the 2022 NFT Collection OSF called Rektguy.

Others have so far tried to bring Crypto to the food and drink industry, with efforts from boring APE Yacht Club NFTS holders. For example, there is ape water. For example, it is canned water decorated with boring apes. In 2023, Snoop Dogg released ice cream inspired by boring apes.

There was also the boring burger joint I visited in 2022, a short boring burger joint that I was bored and hungry (the food was good, but most of the people there were zero and didn’t care what apes were).

For the Rekt brand, the limited edition run of sparkling water, which you only hear on Crypto Twitter, doesn’t seem to be targeting the public, but a wider distribution could soon be coming.

Rekt plans to release new flavors and regain the old flavors in future drops. It can also expand beyond the sparkling water.

“Our goal is to get mainstream distribution and we’ve been actively working on it over the past few months. There’s a point where people can get Rekt at their local stores,” OSF told me via DM.
