- The first EU controlled on-chain exchange for tokenized securities, 21x integrates oracles of chain link data.
- This partnership provides real-time verifiable market data for tokenized securities on the polygon blockchain.
21x, the first blockchain-based exchange licensed under the EU’s DLT regime, adopted an oracle of chain link data to provide on-chain market data in real-time for symbolized securities, the company announced on Monday.
The integration with ChainLink Runtime Environment (CRE) enables verifiable market data including the highest bid and ASK prices, including the final trading prices for securities listed on the 21x platform. This data is accessible in real time on public polygon blockchains.
Discussing the move, Max Heinzle, CEO of 21X, said it was a “basic step” that connects blockchain to traditional capital markets. The integration enables 21x to safely and reliably provide real-time verifiable market data for 21x listed securities.
“By integrating ChainLink into a regulated DLT trading venue, we provide the transparency, auditability and collateral utilities needed for institutions to move in chains,” Heinzle said.
Using ChainLink’s infrastructure, which secures the majority of Defi Transactions, 21x market data is automatically retrieved, aggregated and published from contracts on the chain in a standardized, machine-readable format.
Fernando Vazquez, president of Bank & Capital Markets at Chain Link Lab, said: “By making Chain Link easier to use 21X EU regulated tokenized securities across the on-chain economy and helping bring institutional-grade assets to institutional-grade protocols around the world, this is a crucial moment for the blockchain economy as the institutional capital floodgates flow through the on-chain.”
21x plans to extend chain link integration to include pre-trade data, deeper analysis, and additional asset classes.
