Crypto Prime Broker Hidden Road has launched a new digital asset swap for Prime Brokerage, which is specifically offered for the US market.

The new service allows US institutional clients to exchange cash-established commercial (OTC) with a wide range of well-known digital assets. These transactions are processed through Hidden Road Partners Civ UK Ltd, an FCA regulatory entity.

In addition to the implementation, brokerages will provide cross-merging and finance services, expanding trading and capital efficiency options available to institutional players.

Open global OTC crypto flow

Michael Higgins, international CEO and global corporate development officer of Hidden Road, pointed to a lasting gap in the US digital asset market.

The Hidden Road movement is due to the ever-increasing institutional demand for complex Crypto Instruments. The company’s entry into the US exchange space shows a broader industry trend towards mature infrastructure in the crypto market and more sophisticated financial products.

The timing of new product releases is also important. In April, Hidden Road signed a decisive agreement that Ripple would acquire for $1.25 billion. Ripple, the digital asset infrastructure company best known for its enterprise blockchain solutions, brings important financial and strategic support to this table.

The acquisition, which is still pending regulatory approval, is expected to force a recharge on Hidden Road’s global expansion and strengthen its balance sheet.

Expanding competition among major brokerage companies

As the digital asset market continues to evolve, competition among non-bank prime brokers is intensifying. As institutional players demand more robust infrastructure and regulatory clarity, companies like Hidden Road are placing themselves in order to fill the void left by traditional financial intermediaries.

The company’s conflict-free model and modern technology stack aims to remove barriers often associated with legacy intermediary services. Hidden Road’s entry into the US swap market represents another step towards broader institutional adoption of digital assets.
