On June 5th, Hilbert Group AB (NASDAQ:HILB B), a crypto investment company focused on Web3 technology, announced that it has secured an exclusive option to acquire 100% of Nordark, a Nordic crypto banking platform backed by Nordic Holding AB. Nordark reportedly has a loan demand pipeline worth $2.5 billion.

Under the agreement, Hilbert acquired a 5% share of Nordark and a call option to buy the remaining 95% of the company. This option remains in effect until August 31, 2025, allowing Hilbert to have time to complete the full due diligence process. If exercised, the acquisition will be completed through the issuance of new Hilbert Group shares based on a fixed exchange rate.

This arrangement gives it an early strategic position in Nordark, deferring full ownership until the review process is complete. If completed, Nordark will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hilbert Group.

Additionally, John Lilic, known for his investments in the Crypto sector, Nordark’s biggest outside investor, will be joining the Hilbert Group as a board advisor as part of the agreement.
