As the base boomed into Layer 2, which is Ethereum’s fastest growing, the swarm of Civil attackers was also fascinated. The bad actor spun a fake wallet, stealing airdrops and game governance. Today, Human Passport (formerly Gitcoin Passport) has unveiled a dedicated toolkit designed to confirm the real human of a base without slow, invasive KYC checks or nasty user flows.

At the heart of the launch is a Civil detection model with new machine learning, fine-tuned for the base transaction pattern. In real time, sift through the behavior of your wallet by spotting the telltale signs of the sock puppet account you are trying to game the system. Above all, everything works perfectly with chains. Users create “stamps” of human scores directly on the base to enhance transparency and trust.

Empowerment based with privacy intake technology

The power of the system does not stop there. Aggregate chain behavior from Human Passport’s cross-chain scoring base, Ethereum mainnets, and other EVM chains. Draw a richer picture of the legitimacy of each wallet. That extra intelligence has already paid dividends in the wild. Protocols such as Layer Edge and Story Protocol have screened hundreds of thousands of wallets with Human Passport services. It protects the integrity of their airdrops and collectively saves millions of rewards that could otherwise have been sucked up by the bot.

“The bass is exploding with activity, but where there is growth, Sybil continues,” said Kyle Weiss, co-founder of Human Passport. “When the reward goes to the bot, the community dies, but since the human passport is on the base, we try to make sure that never happens.”

This rollout is based on the evolution of Human Passport since its acquisition by Human.tech six months ago. Currently operating under the banner of Public-Benefit Tech Company, Human.Tech is committed to creating an identity system that provides empowering privacy to individuals rather than platforms.

“Sybil’s resistance is not just stopping bots, but protecting the meaning of being human in a world where its definition is surrounded,” added Shady El Damaty, CEO of Human.tech. With over 2 million users and over 35 million previously issued safe qualifications, Human Passport already protects more than $450 million with a verifiable human chain distribution.

As governments and businesses often consider digital identity via surveillance, biometrics, or opaque algorithms, Human.Tech’s decentralized approach aims to maintain digital dignity and autonomy. In an age of deepfake and counterfeit identity, proving you are human could be one of the last lines of defense against the burgeoning digital dystopia.
