The biggest Altcoin, Ethereum (ETH), has yet to surpass previous ATHs, while Bitcoin (BTC) is breaking records. At this point, ETH has not lived up to investor expectations, but the optimism that has formed after the attacks it has made in recent weeks continues.

At this point, speaking to Coinbase, Bizantine Capital co-founder March Zheng said he was optimistic about Ethereum.

Because he argues that Ethereum can dominate the market as a tier blockchain, thanks to recent Pectra upgrades, as it has consistently lower inflation than Bitcoin.

Zheng also said that Ethereum has better scalability than Solana, which also contributes to the rise.

At this point, Zheng thought ETH was continuing its upward trend, and said Ethereum had reached a turning point.

Zheng added that 2025 will be a very interesting year for Ethereum.

Despite bullish market sentiment, Ethereum is unlikely to reach an all-time high before 2026, according to Polymarket Bettors. Therefore, there is only a 27% chance of a new ATH in ETH. This means that ETH is facing challenges.
