Layer 2 Blockchain Solution Stack announced on May 24 that it has resumed block production after fixing the unusual behavior that occurs in Stacks-Node Mempool sync logic. All node operators, especially miners and signers, recommended that they upgrade their nodes to version 3.1.0.0.11.
A warning was posted to X Social Network about further “regular degradation” of block production until all miners and signers complete the upgrade. The announcement to upgrade the node to the latest version came hours after the core developer claimed that they had identified the cause.
Preliminary results suggest that the latest update is compatible with Chainstate Directories in 3.XXXX. The latest update release is expected to ultimately resolve the issue Stacks first confirmed on April 18th.
