Lotte Group, a major Korean retailer, has taken a major step towards blockchain. Daehong Communications, marketing and communications, has officially launched a tokenized voucher system on the APTOS blockchain.
Through its auxiliary platform, Giftiel, Daehong has issued over a million real-world vouchers in chains. The deployment began in early July 2025 and has already attracted over 500,000 users. These users maintain blockchain-based vouchers without the need to interact directly with cryptographic tools or wallets.
The move is one of the biggest real-world blockchain integrations in the Korean voucher and loyalty economy.
Full blockchain integration with APTOS
The Aptos chain drives the entire lifecycle, issuance, distribution and redemption of vouchers. The company says the goal is to use blockchain rails to streamline capital flows while leaving the user experience frictionless.
Giftiel users do not need to manually manage their wallets or tokens. Thanks to Aptos’ invisible infrastructure layer, onboarding to Web3 occurs in the background. This design reduces entry barriers and helps traditional consumers easily use blockchain-backed services.
Aptos shared the development on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “From coupons to Stablecoins, the financial future will be implemented at Aptos.”
Future Plans: Points, Digital Assets, and Stubcoins
Tokenized voucher rollout is just the beginning. Daehong has confirmed that this “capital flow” blockchain ecosystem will soon expand. Future phases aim to support points, digital assets, and even stubcoins throughout the broader operations of the Lotte Group.
Given Lotte’s reach across retail, hospitality and finance, this expansion could create one of Asia’s largest consumer blockchain ecosystems. With over 5 million users already participating in Giftiel, the potential impact is important. Integration can redefine promotions, rewards, and even currency interactions without the consumer knowing that they are on the blockchain.
Mass Web3 Recruitment Wins
Lotte’s move shows how traditional companies can leverage blockchain at scale without putting a burden on end users. It also demonstrates the ability of APTOS to support a large number of real-world applications.
If this development is successful, other Asian giants can set a tone to jump in.
