Reach out to the cryptography leader
According to the report, McGregor invited experts to work with him. He tagged Anthony Pompliano, host of Pompador, and requested feedback. He also contacted David Bailey. David Bailey contacted an expert who consulted former US President Donald Trump about the Crypto issue. In his response, McGregor stated, “Let’s message me and talk about my space” and “Let’s message David, let’s talk about your ideas!” His idea is to conduct an X-space session to develop the details.
Political and legal challenges
Ireland must hold its next presidential election by November 11, 2025, when President Michael D. Higgins’ term ends. The initiative to establish a Bitcoin Reserve will require support from lawmakers and central banks. As Ireland is a member of the European Union, its monetary policy is related to the euro. A candidate for a small independent party is unlikely to get a coalition for this concept.
Additionally, McGregor challenges the civil court’s decision that ruled the charges of sexual assault. He was also previously investigated on hate speech charges. These factors can undermine his credibility with voters.

McGregor is not inexperienced in crypto projects, but his previous attempts have not worked. In early April 2025, the Real World Gaming team held a 28-hour pre-selling sale of a token named Real. They wanted to raise at least $1 million. They only raised about $392,300 and refunded all the buyers.
