The latest purchases were made at an average price of 1,564 million yen per Bitcoin, totaling approximately 344.9 billion yen ($213 million). This brings Metaplanet’s total BTC investment to ¥225.82 billion ($1.38 billion), with an average purchase price of ¥1,452 million per BTC mixed.
Metaplanet utilizes a custom metric called BTC IVELS to track shareholder value related to dilutions.
In the quarter ending June 30th, the company reported a BTC yield of 95.6%, following a 309.8% yield in the previous quarter. BTC yields reflect the percentage of change in Bitcoin holdings per fully diluted share, separating the effects of the additional financial measures.
The company also tracks the BTC gain and the gain of the BTC circle. This translates its yield into increased virtual BTC and circular performance, respectively, giving investors a clearer sense of overall strategy.
