Pakistan’s government’s crypto advisor announced on Wednesday that the country will launch a strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

At the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, Bilal bin Saqib, newly appointed special assistant to the Prime Minister of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, said the Pakistani government is “setting its own Bitcoin strategy preparation.”

“We’re inspired by (the US government),” the crypto-centric state minister added.

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed an executive order that paved the way for US strategic Bitcoin sanctuary.
