Robinhood, a disruptor of the American stockbroking industry, is tempting to UK active traders with the launch of Robinhood Legend, a browser-based desktop trading platform.
Trading platform for active traders
The platform will be deployed to UK-based traders starting today (Wednesday). Anyone with a Robinhood account can use it for free, allowing customers to trade 6,000 US stocks along with options agreements.
The NASDAQ registered broker launched its desktop platform last year to accommodate more sophisticated and active retail investors. According to Robinhood, more than 11 million UK residents are currently using desktop platforms to invest.
The trading platform offers features such as personalized trading setups, advanced charts, real-time data, custom time intervals and more.

“The goal is for Robinhood to become the number one platform for globally active investors,” said Jordan Sinclair, president of Robinhood UK.
“Robinhood Legend gives UK investors the speed, accuracy and customization they need to stay ahead of the curve. It has a powerful, intuitive, well-designed, free platform.”
Robinhood’s UK Push
The legendary development of British Robinhood comes months after the brokers began options contracts trading domestically. The American broker entered the UK market last year after two failed attempts. Initially, they tried to launch service in the UK in 2020, but were not successful. I then tried to get the UK-based trading app Ziglu. However, the transaction did not come true.
Options trading was Robinhood’s top revenue generator, but Crypto Trading has recently begun to increase revenue and overtake options. However, crypto revenues for the first quarter of 2025 were $252 million, about 30% lower than the previous quarter figures, while the options brought in $240 million.
Securities companies are currently planning to move their services away from crypto asset classes tends to fluctuate.
