- P2P.org will be the latest Super Representative (SR) of the Tron network.
- This will make the staking provider a node variator on the network.
- P2P.org allows institutional staking services to the market.
The main validation and staking provider P2P.org has been officially selected as the Tron Super Representative (SR) validator. The move follows the recent SR election period, when staking providers saw them become one of the top 27 candidates. This extends P2P.org’s verification service to over 40 supported networks, including Ethereum and Avalanche.
More importantly, by becoming a staking provider and node variator at Tron, P2P.org establishes new routes for TRX for facilities staking the network.
P2P.org CEO Alex Esin believes being a super representative of Tron Network is a major addition to his portfolio, increasing his presence in the blockchain ecosystem and Valita Services.
“This expansion will strengthen our position across more than 40 networks and create valuable new opportunities for institutional partners to optimize TRX holdings with industry-leading staking solutions,” added Alex Esin.
Tron’s super representative is block producers of blockchain. SRS is selected through voting, and any account is eligible to enter the voting period. Candidates can apply to become SR by paying 9,999 TRX (~$2455) and taking part in the election. All accounts can vote for SR candidates, and the top 27 candidates with the most votes will become SRS and must run Tron nodes to participate in block production.
Once a vote is placed, the super representative will receive block production fees and vote fees. Participants who participate in the election are also eligible to receive voting fees.
The selected validator forms the backbone of the network’s DPOS consensus by creating blocks every 3 seconds, verifying transactions, voting for governance decisions, and sharing rewards with voters.
“Scalability and minimal transaction costs have made Tron a blockchain of choice as the number of Defi platforms focused on adoption of the scheme has increased,” said Sam Elfarra, community spokesman for Tron Dao. “As the builders of a thriving ecosystem with hundreds of institutional clients, we are thrilled to welcome P2P.org as a super-representative.”
The election and reward mechanisms are determined by Tron Dao, a decentralized community of the blockchain ecosystem, and are dedicated to accelerating the decentralization of the Internet through blockchain technology and Dapps.
As a newly elected super representative, P2P.org will strengthen Tron’s infrastructure and create pathways for institutions to access staking rewards on the network.
