- The GM NFT upgrade cost half the cost and the early donor was refunded. Rewards strictly linked to voting activities.
- High-rise NFTs require large amounts of B3TR donations. Only the selected node holders will get limited free access.
Vechain has officially completed a complete overhaul of the GM NFT system after the community ratification of the “Restoring the GM NFT System” proposal by DataB4Dishonor. The new regulations are fully enabled on the platform after a one-month interval.

Some changes based on getting more user involvement and system overhauls made a fairer distribution of values. GM NFT upgrade fees have been reduced by 50%, and tier progress is significantly more affordable for users. Participants who previously invested in the B3TR upgrade prior to this overhaul have already been transferred to future tiers, and the difference itself is already recognized.
One of the most important changes is the redistribution of emissions per week. 20% of the emissions from B3TR have previously been to the Ministry of Finance. Allocation has been reduced to 15%, with 5% now available in the newly created GM Rewards Pool. They are profiting directly from active voters who own Tiamoon’s GM NFTs and from the new pool.
Voting & Winning – No more passive benefits
Awards from the GM Rewards pool are allocated proportionally to both the NFT tier and the number of proposals voted within the cycle. This is to more closely link participation incentives rather than passive ownership. On the Lote2 side, the changes were also applied. GM NFT no longer rewards multipliers for vote 2EARN awards. Remuneration is currently strictly linked to the token balance in Voting 3.
For node holders, the previous advantage of being able to redeem GM NFTs to points is preserved. Nevertheless, all node holders must vote actively in each cycle to benefit from rewards in the new GM Rewards pool. Token Holding is no longer able to qualify users for ecosystem rewards unless voting activities accompany it.
The update also provided an improved system by retroactively applying all changes to previous donors. Changes in the eligibility of contribution records and rewards were included in making the system in reverse-compatible for early participation.
Tier expansion timeline locked through December with higher donation goals
After overhauling the system, VeChain announced the release date in advance for the new NFT levels. The Jupiter release takes place in May and has a B3TR requirement of 125,000 for donations, and is available free of charge by Mjolnir and Thunderx node owners. Saturn comes in June and has a B3TR requirement of 250,000 for donations, but Mjolnirx node owners can only receive it for free.
In August, we will see an appearance from Uranus at 1,250,000 B3TR without any available upgrades. Neptune will come in October and will need 2,500,000 B3TR donations, but in December, Galaxy has been considered the top tier to date, with an astonishing 12,500,000 B3TR. None of these last three tiers are upgraded for free, and the reward structure is enhanced.
