The Ministry of Finance promises to buy “budget-neutral” BTC

After saying Thursday that the US would not buy Bitcoin for its planned strategic reserve, Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent has clearly changed his mind, leaving the door open for purchases once again.

“Bitcoin, which was ultimately confiscated by the federal government, will serve as the foundation for the strategic Bitcoin reserves established by President Trump in his March executive order. Furthermore, the Treasury will pledge to explore neutral budget paths to acquire more Bitcoin, expand the reserve and enforce the President’s promises with the President’s promises.
