Activity on the Avalanche network reached historic levels in January 2026. The number of daily active addresses on the Avalanche blockchain reached a new record of 1.71 million.
This number represents a significant increase of approximately 986.5% compared to the previous period’s average. As a result, the total number of active addresses in the Avalanche ecosystem is now approaching 49.86 million.
The data reveals that interactions on Avalanche’s C-Chain network in particular have accelerated significantly since mid-January. Previously, the number of daily active addresses typically ranged from 300,000 to 600,000, but recently C-chain usage has skyrocketed. This sudden increase shows that decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi protocols, and on-chain transactions on networks are benefiting from this increased interest.
Avalanche’s statement described this development as a “chain awakening.” The project team suggests that the increase in network activity may be related to the rollout of new applications, growing user base, and positive sentiment across the crypto market. They also point out that Avalanche’s technical advantages, such as scalability and low transaction fees, also influence user preferences.
Experts stress that this size of address growth may be due not only to short-term speculative trading, but also to the expansion of real-world use cases.
If current momentum is maintained, Avalanche is predicted to gain an even stronger position among both developers and users throughout 2026. This development is considered an important milestone that has the potential to further solidify the network’s position in the competitive blockchain ecosystem.
