It’s a game-changing week for the digital asset industry as the Solana ETF is officially set to launch in Canada. In fact, Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balknas has confirmed that Sol Investment products are scheduled to live in a North American country and will offer staking capabilities.

According to Balchunas, there are four asset managers scheduled to launch the Solana ETF this Wednesday. This movement is monumental. You can see that the world’s first Sol Exchange-Traded Fund has reached official approval. Additionally, it could affect decisions looming on the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

SolanaETF has received the green light and will be released in Canada this week

It cannot be denied that the past two years have been monumental to the digital assets sector. The continuous shift from a regulatory perspective is unprecedented and undeniable. In the US, asset classes are more embraced than ever before, opening the door for an increase in laws that support the growth of the country.

That effort has been reflected worldwide for much of 2025. Additionally, it will continue this week as the first Solana ETF is scheduled to be officially released in Canada. Specifically, Bloomberg’s Erich Balknas shared a screenshot of the country’s TD Bank, noting the approval of the Ontario Securities Commission.

This product is issued by purpose, Evolve, CI, and 3IQ in accordance with the update. Additionally, the product also offers staking features that allow users to earn rewards. The shared screenshot said “it could potentially be used to stain higher yields of Steam ether and reduce the overall ETF holding cost.”
