Top 5 blockchains with 7 days of growth in active addresses and transactions

8 months ago 2 Min Read

Five blockchains are growing significantly, according to new data shared by Nansen, a powerful multichine AI analytics platform. The analysis included avalanches and BNB chains, showing a marked increase in active addresses and transactions over the past seven days. The significant increase in the number of active addresses and transactions that have occurred on these platforms indicates the growing demand for these blockchains.

Top 5 chains by 7D growth of transaction % change:

1. Avalanche: +168%
2. BNB Chain: +62%
3. ZKSYNC: +39%
4. Base: +32%
5. Scroll: +29%

Avalanche is on the list with a 168% increase in transactions over 7 days

Nansen has tracked various blockchain activity and created a list of 20 blockchain networks that hold the number of addresses witnessed and the percentage of transactions. Avalanches, BNB Chains, Zksync, base, and scrolling outweigh all other blockchain networks.

Developed by AVA Labs in September 2020, Avalanche is a decentralized blockchain platform that offers secure, scalable, fast, smart contracts and decentralized apps. The avalanche tops the list as trading rose 168% over the course of seven days. Furthermore, the number of active addresses on the blockchain has also increased by 916% over this period, exceeding 1.6 million.

BNB Chain, Zksync, Base, and Scroll remain except for major blockchains

Developed by the major digital currency exchange binance, the BNB chain is a blockchain network that supports DAPP and smart contracts at low cost in transactions. Zksync, meanwhile, is Ethereum’s Layer-2 scaling solution that utilizes ZK-Rollups for off-chain transactions. Base and Scroll are also layer 2 solutions for Ethereum.

Apart from the avalanche, all four of these blockchains leave major blockchains, such as stars, Ethereum and polygons, in terms of active addresses and transactional percentages. In the BNB chain, the seven-day growth of transactions increased by 62%. Meanwhile, Zksync, base and scrolling increased by 39%, 32% and 29%, respectively.
