With 440 million pounds of plastic waste entering the world each year, plastic waste has emerged as one of the most urgent environmental concerns of the 21st century. To address this issue, VeChain has worked with 4OCEAN, an organization specializing in the removal of plastic waste from the ocean and coastlines. To date, 4 million pounds of sea trash have been removed by the fourth century.
The partnership was officially launched with Beach Cleanup in Miami. Miami was joined by the UFC Foundation, the UFC charity division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
