WalletConnect, a blockchain connectivity infrastructure provider, has integrated the TRON network to expand access to payments and decentralized applications. This move will connect the TRON ecosystem to over 600 wallets and over 70,000 decentralized applications already supported by WalletConnect, strengthening the stablecoin’s role in global payment flows.
TRON is a high-throughput public blockchain focused on payments and decentralized apps. The network is managed by TRON DAO, a community-driven organization that oversees protocol development and ecosystem growth. This integration allows users to transfer TRC-20 tokens from compatible wallets and access TRON-based DeFi, NFT, and GameFi applications via WalletConnect on mobile and desktop.
WalletConnect provides secure wallet and app connectivity infrastructure. TRON support allows custodians and fintech platforms to add TRON functionality without separate technology integration. Wallets like Trust Wallet, Binance Web3 Wallet, and SafePal already have this feature, and applications like Sun.io, JustLend, and Symbiosis Finance are also starting to support it.
